Volunteer and Donate
A large part of how we are able to provide excellent home care and hospices services is because of the many community members who are willing to donate their time and money. If you would like to help patients at the SECU Hospice House, there are many ways to get involved.
Volunteers are the heart of hospice. They enhance quality of life and help reduce the burden of care giving. Hospice volunteers provide different types of support such as running errands, preparing light meals, staying with a person to give loved ones a break, and lending emotional support and companionship.
Please visit our Volunteer page to learn more about volunteering at the SECU Hospice House and to submit an application.
We provide care to everyone who needs it, regardless of their ability to pay. To help provide care for those who cannot afford it, we depend on donations and gifts from our friends in the community. You can make a donation online or by sending your donation to the Johnston Health Foundation, PO Box 1376, Smithfield, NC 27577.
What is a memorial gift? A beautiful expression of sympathy – establishing a memorial by donating to the SECU Hospice House, which will live on in the name of the individual, is an appropriate means of expressing sympathy to family members and to associates of bereaved persons.
The memorial gift should be mailed to the SECU Hospice House with a note indicating who the memorial is for and what family should be notified. The hospice house will notify the family of the gift.
Memorial donations should be made payable to the Johnston Health Foundation and mailed to:
