#GivingTuesday is a way to give back to our community.

On Giving Tuesday, November 29, the Johnston Health Foundation kicked off its year end giving campaign to support patients in need in Johnston County. Every Tuesday, from November 29, 2016 to January 3, 2017, we encourage you to participate by sharing this on Facebook or making a donation. Ways to give

Where your money goes

Donate to a fund close to your heart. All donations are appreciated and will help improve the health of the people in our communities.

Angel Fund
Supports cancer patients who are going through financial hardships by providing funds to purchase medications, gas for transportation to appointments and more.

Healthy Kids Fund
Provides scholarships for at risk youth to participate in a 12 week exercise program at HealthQuest, to address today’s childhood obesity issue in our community. This program provides nutritional counseling and fitness instruction.

Hospice Fund
Helps supplement room and board expenses and other costs of patient care so that all patients needing end-of-life care can come to the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, regardless of their ability to pay.

Patient Assistance Fund
Provides support to any inpatient at Johnston Health who is going through financial hardship. Funds are used to help pay for medications, treatments, transportation and other necessities.

General Fund
Directed to programs based on immediate need.
