Most have ties to the community and have given many years of service, altogether 117, to Johnston Health. Quality: Quality is what the department is all about. Whether it’s core measures, peer review or infection control, our goal is to improve patient care, safety and outcomes. The quality department has to ensure that Johnston Health is compliant with all regulatory services standards. Service: Our staff is always willing to assist most other departments in the hospital with quality of care issues. Our department makes readiness rounds to assist staff with preparation for regulatory surveys. Growth: The quality department has adapted to the growth of our organization by making rounds in Clayton and assisting with The Joint Commission accreditation process. Our staff serves and/or leads many improvement teams throughout the organization and has participated on several RIEs. Value: The quality department works closely with administration to ensure that Medicare reimbursement is not reduced due to value based purchasing, infections, etc. Innovation: With the upcoming Epic conversion, our staff will be working closely with IT to ensure that required documentation for core measures, emeasures and NHSN is available.
