2017 Hospital Week
Celebrating National Hospital Week
We love our hospital! We’re the healing heart of health care.
Our hospitals are more than a place where people go to heal. They’re part of our communities, and foster health and represent hope. From treating and comforting the sick, to welcoming new life into the world, our hospitals are central to a healthy and positive community.
Thank You! Day in and day out, it’s your dedication and hard work that drives Johnston Health. Your passion for your work is an asset to our organization and our community.
Check out this “thank you” video from the American Hospital Association.
We are “berry” thankful!
During the strawberry sale today, we sold 300 pounds of strawberries and raised $600 for the patient assistance fund. Amber Stanley, our patient experience specialist, coordinated the special event with the help of patient and family advisors, who manned the sales tables in Smithfield and Clayton. The berries were locally grown by Wayne Worley of WDW Strawberry Farm. Thank you to everyone who purchased a box.
Show your spirit, all week: Wear your “We love our hospital” T-shirt to work!
It’s a conversation starter, a way to share your workplace pride with patients, families and visitors. Take a picture showing or telling us what you like most about your workplace. Send these to Erin at Erin.Hamrick@unchealth.unc.edu for posting on Facebook. Remember to like, love, share!
Service Awards Banquet
On Thurday, May 11, the Service Awards Banquet was held to honor employees celebrating milestone work anniversaries and our ambassadors of the month over the last year. This year the banquet was held at the Johnston County Agricultural Center and catered by our food services department. It was a great evening of celebrations and meeting fellow employees.
Also recognized during the event was this year’s Ambassador of the Year, Donna Dewberry! Donna is a pharmacist in the Johnston Health Outpatient Pharmacy. She received an engraved crystal award and a weekend getaway to a bed and breakfast in Asheville. Congratulations Donna!
