Johnston Health Events a Big Success

With less than two weeks between them, Johnston Health’s Ladies Night Out and Champions 5k were big successes!

We’d like to thank all the participants, vendors, sponsors, and wonderful volunteers for helping make these events happen. We could not have done it without every single one of you.

DSC_7343It was an evening of celebrating women’s health and wellness, with a little bit of shopping and pampering in between.

Over 200 ladies walked around the Medical Mall learning about the different services Johnston Health has available for them. They also enjoyed seeing products from local vendors who are making their products right here in Johnston County.

It was a fun night and we are looking forward to our next Ladies Night Out. We hope you’ll join us!

DSC_7650With cool temperatures starting out and blue skies throughout, the weather was perfect for the annual Champions 5K. While this was a competitive event, it was also a race to benefit the Angel Fund and Healthy Kids Fund.

This year we had 320 registered participants and raised over $20,000. Because of all the efforts put into this event, we will be able to help children in need of health and fitness classes and cancer patients that need transportation to and from treatments, pain medications, nutritional supplements, and other needs deemed necessary for patient care for another year.
