Daniel W. Vande Lune, M.D. of Clayton has joined University Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, which has offices in Smithfield and Clayton. He is on staff at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield and is excited about the opportunity.
A native of West Des Moines, Iowa, Dr. Vande Lune moved his family to North Carolina to escape the cold weather. For 15 years, he had his own practice in Pella, Iowa.
“I’m looking forward to helping out the community,” says Vande Lune.
Vande Lune earned his medical degree in 1991 from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed an internship at Indiana University Medical Center and a residency in orthopedics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Also, he did a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester in 1997. He is board certified in orthopedics and has special interests in joint replacement and arthroscopy.
