Donate and Volunteer

Volunteers

The volunteers in our cancer centers play a vital role in providing the best possible care for our patients.  They assist in passing out snacks to patients, sitting with patients during treatment, keeping the patients comfortable with pillow and blankets, and much more. Our staff and patients are so thankful for those who volunteer their time to help out.  If you’re interested in volunteering at our cancer centers in Smithfield or Clayton, please visit our volunteer page or contact Farrah Nguyen, volunteer coordinator, at 919-938-7117.

The Angel Fund

The Johnston Health Foundation recently established the Angel Fund to provide assistance to cancer patients who are going through financial hardships.  When insurance, Charity Care, and all other options have been exhausted, the Angel Fund can help pay for:

  • Hospital treatments and services that promote recovery
  • Medications
  • Gas or transportation to and from treatments
  • Wigs
  • Prosthesis
  • Other devices to help patients live as normally as possible and with the dignity they deserve

If you would like to join the Angel Fund Committee, please contact Charity Pate, oncology social worker, at 919-989-2192.

If you would like to make a donation to the Angel Fund, you can donate online or mail your check or cash to:
