kid-activitiesHey Mom and Dad!

Johnston Health is here to help keep your kids busy this summer. Below is a list of activities that will be held throughout the summer. Click on the title for more details about the program.

HealthQuest Swim Lessons and Swim Team
Learning to swim is not only fun for children, but it can be a life saver. HealthQuest can help children learn to swim or improve their swimming skills by teaching breathing techniques, swimming styles, and the importance of pool safety.

Already know how to swim? Consider joining the HealthQuest HammerHeads Swim Team! The HammerHeads Swim Team is a recreational summer swim team for youth 5 to 18 years of age.  The team is open to HealthQuest members and non-members of the community.  We are a member of the Southern Metro Swim League (SMSL) and compete against other SMSL teams throughout Johnston and Wake counties.

ELC Fall Openings
The Early Learning Center of Johnston Health is a five-star childcare facility that provides a nurturing environment for children six weeks to five years of age. The program provides a year-round, literacy-based curriculum in a safe and stimulating environment. Low teacher-to-child ratios provide individual learning opportunities, and enrichment programs in Spanish, sign language, computer instruction, art and music allow your child to receive a well-rounded education. Ample play time is provided in indoor activity areas and an outdoor, fenced-in playground.

Safe Sitter® Classes
Be the sitter that all parents and kids want! We offer a Safe Sitter® Course, which is geared toward teaching up-to-date babysitting practices to teens 11-15. This course is a medically accurate instruction series that teaches how to handle emergencies when caring for young children.
